Nana Ice Cream (Vegan)

We’ve all seen it, the endless posts of artistic bowls full of bright colors and creamy goodness on Instagram. Nana ice cream truly is a food miracle though. Just a couple frozen bananas and some added flavors and you have a huge bowl of deliciousness that is about 100 times better than any dairy ice cream I’ve ever had.

Here’s the bowl I had for breakfast this morning- two bananas, a couple meejol dates, cinnamon, vanilla and almond extract topped with shredded coconut. I love it because it basically tastes like a chai latte. The other great thing about this stuff is you can have it anytime of the day and it’s completely acceptable. A huge bowl of ice cream for breakfast? Don’t mind if I do! Banana ice cream loaded with fruit for lunch? Sounds like heaven.

Another recent nana creation, mint chocolate chip ice cream with fresh mint leaves. I chopped up about 2 tablespoons of fresh mint and mixed it with 1.5 tablespoons of cocoa powder and some stevia. The fresh mint makes for amazing flavor you simply can’t get in normal mint ice cream.

Ingredients:
-2-3 frozen bananas
-Splash of almond milk
-Flavoring of choice

Directions:
Add chopped up frozen bananas to your food processor, adding tiny amounts of almond milk as necessary to create a soft serve consistency. Once all the bananas are blended, add in whatever flavors you want. Throw it in a bowl, top with fruit, nuts, chocolate, whatever you want. Continue by devouring a bowl of guilt free ice cream
