One of my absolute favorite spots to eat in Cleveland is The Root Cafe. I only recently discovered it but I’m so glad I did! It’s on the west side so it’s kind of a hike for me to go eat there but it’s definitely worth it. I dragged my mom there for lunch last week so she could experience this vegan magic. Their menu is about 40% vegan but they use almost all local/organic products. The quality of the food is so good and you can taste it. This time I got the winter wrap sandwich (avocado, kale, sweet potatoes, bell peppers, cilantro and chipotle aioli) over a bed of greens. My mom got the local cheddar bake (sharp cheddar, bell peppers and pesto) on local whole grain bread. We also split a side of sweet potatoes because they’re so delicious, the ones in my meal weren’t enough! If you’re in the Cleveland area and looking for a wholesome and relaxed place to grab some truly good food, go to The Root Cafe.
